The Fellow is awarded £10,000 for the one year course and is provided a work base at the Art School, skills-based teaching, and one-to-one master classes. The Fellowship focuses on historic techniques such as gilding, marbling and wood graining, trompe l'oeil, verre églomisé and japanning. Specialist training in other traditional processes can be sourced.

In addition to the financial award, Fellows receive support and encouragement from the Company in other ways - mentoring, advice on specific artistic issues and inclusion in the Company's InPractice programme of panel discussions with leading art practitioners.

On completion of the studies Fellows are offered Honorary Freeman free membership of the Company for five years. Support coninues with informal events, professional introductions, site visits and exhibition opportunities.
