Frances Segelman

(Lady Petchey)

Born in Leeds, Frances Segelman (aka Lady Petchey) is a Liveryman of the Painter Stainers' Livery Company, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.

Frances is known for her sculptors of the Royal Family. These include busts of HM The King (2014 & 2024), HM Queen Elizabeth II (2007), HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (2000), HRH The Duke of Kent (2016) and HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh (2020).

Supporting many charities through her sculpture commissions, Frances has recently sculpted Sir Simon Rattle for Help Musicians, Sir Karl Jenkins for the Royal Academy of Music, Dame Joan Collins for Penny Brohn UK, Lord Julian Fellowes for the Stroke Association, Lord David Blunkett for the Vision Foundation and Dame Joanna Lumley for the Stroke Association.

Frances is also known for her ongoing series of Holocaust sculptures, including busts of Holocaust survivors Sir Ben Helfgott MBE and his sister Mala Tribich MBE, Arek Hersh MBE, Lily Ebert BEM and Zigi Shipper BEM.
